FRENCH’S MUSTARD SKITTLES

Brief: Take mustard where it’s never gone before.

Dreaming big for National Mustard Day looked like finding the perfect partner, the whacky to our tangy, something that brought crunchy, chewy life to our favorite zesty condiment. So in 2023, we joined forces with Mars, Inc. to bring French’s Mustard Skittles to the world.

Of course, that is where the story began, but along the way was the task of bringing this late-summer fling to life. We merged two brand identities to bring something bright, fresh and new, yet with a familiarity you couldn’t shake. And we didn’t really want to do any of this without bringing a vintage VW bus into the mix, so up the East Coast we went. Something I didn’t know I was signing up for when this all started: turning away tens of dozens of people, offering temporary tattoos and asking (begging) for forgiveness as I told them we…ran out of Mustard Skittles.
